Radiesse is a biostimulatory dermal filler that works in two phases: it immediately restores lost volume, then stimulates your body to produce its own natural collagen and elastin over the following months.

How does Radiesse work?
Radiesse consists of microscopic calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) particles suspended in a smooth, water-based gel carrier. Calcium and phosphate ions naturally exist within human bones.
Phase 1: Immediate Volume: Upon injection, the gel provides instant structural support beneath wrinkles or hollow areas. It immediately smooths out folds and contours for a visible lift.
Phase 2: Collagen Biostimulation: As the body integrates the CaHA microspheres, they form a “scaffold” that mechanically activates your skin’s cells (fibroblasts).
Long-Term Regeneration: Over the coming weeks, these activated cells produce new collagen, elastin, and proteoglycans. This builds actual thickness and elasticity back into the skin.
Natural Reabsorption: Over time, the gel carrier and the CaHA microspheres naturally metabolize and break down, leaving behind a network of your own newly grown collagen fibers/
What type of results does Radiesse have?
Radiesse improves skin firmess, elasticiy and hydration. The regeneration induced by Radiesse results in tighter skin, temporarily reversing visible signs of aging.

What does the treatment feel like? How long does it take?
The injections are not painless, but they only take a few minutes. Topical numbing and ice packs are used before and after the treatment to alleviate discomfort and swelling, and to reduce chance of bruising.
When will I see results? How long do they last?
Results from Radiesse typically appear immediately, with continued improvement over the first few months. Because it relies on regenerating your own tissue, results are long-lasting and often remain visible for 12 to 18 months.
Is there downtime?
After your treatment, you can resume your day. There is minimal to no downtime. Should bruises occur, they can be covered up with makeup safely.
Are there any side effects?
These typical injection reactions are usually mild and resolve within 1 to 2 weeks: swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, or temporary firmness or a feeling that you can “set” the material under your skin.
