Before & After Photos
What is the Keravive treatment?
This in office treatment takes about 30-45 minutes and is performed by an aesthetician trained in the use of HydraFacial Vortex Technology. This patented hydradermabrasion system first extracts dirt, oil and impurities from the scalp and hair follicles. Then, the nourishing and hydrating Peptide Complex Solution containing biomimetic growth factors and skin proteins is infused into the scalp and hair follicles. At home, applying Peptide Complex Spray nightly enhances the in−office treatment and delivers daily nourishment to the scalp and hair follicles.
The combination of in–office cleansing, exfoliation and hydration, and daily use of the take–home spray deeply nourishes the hair follicles for healthier, shinier, thicker−looking hair.
Who is a good candidate for Keravive treatment?
Anyone who wants improved scalp health is a great candidate for the Keravive treatments. Poor scalp health – dry skin, clogged follicles, dead skin cells, lack of circulation – can lead directly to thinner-looking hair. After just 1 treatment, patients reported improvement in scalp itchiness, scalp dryness, scalp flakiness and hair fullness. Following the full course of treatments, 75% of patients reported improvement in hair fullness, 72% reported improvement in overall hair appearance and 64% said they felt more confident as a result.
How many Keravive treatments will I need?
In order to nourish hair follicles during all stages of their growth cycle, the HydraFacial Keravive in-office treatment should be scheduled once a month for 3 consecutive months with continuous daily use of the take-home spray throughout. Follow-up treatments can be performed on an as-needed basis to maintain scalp health.
Can I schedule Keravive while I am also having PRP injections for Hair Loss?
Keravive treatments can be done in conjunction with or before PRP Injections for Hair Loss, a treatment performed by your dermatologist and uses growth factors in your plasma to stimulate the activity of the hair follicles to promote new hair growth. The recommended regimen is to alternate HydraFacial Keravive and PRP Injections and to allow 2-4 weeks between treatments. Alternatively, completing your series of three Keravive in-office treatments and application of nightly growth factor/protein serum would soften the scalp, preparing it for a series of PRP Injections if that treatment is desired.
What does a Keravive treatment feel like?
The treatment is pain-free, gentle and relaxing. You will feel some suction on your scalp and a cooling sensation from the solutions that are administered during the treatment. The patented roller-flex technology gently sucks out impurities, which you can actually see afterwards!
What do I need to know before the treatment?
Plan to come to the treatment with clean, dry hair without styling products. Your scalp/hair should be dry within 15-20 minutes of the end of the treatment, and then you can use hair styling products. Wait at least 6-12 hours before washing your hair. Forego any coloring, processing or blow-drying for a day after your treatment.
How do I use the HydraFacial Keravive take-home spray?
Following the in-office treatment, apply 1-2 sprays per area of concern once a day by placing nozzle directly on the scalp while spraying. After spraying, massage solution into scalp for 30-60 seconds. For best results, apply in the evening and allow serum to remain on the scalp overnight. For smaller areas of concern such as temples and frontal hair line, use twice per day.
Can I receive Keravive and/or use the spray if I have color-treated hair?
Yes.
How long will the in-office treatment take?
The treatment takes approximately 45 minutes.
